That's no moon. It's a space station.

It's Obi-Wan Kenobi Amigurumi! Also my
Paré Freddie's belated birthday present. I'm a little over a week
late but I think once he sees this it will be okay. It was hard
deciding what to make since Yoda was already taken so owner of Yoda
#1 suggested the cool Obi-Wan (original) and it was perfect!
Obi-Wan took me over a week to make him and got 3 blisters from it
- mainly also I was making Yoda #3 for Gerry and our crafty swap. So it will be awhile
before another amigurumi project comes along, my calluses need
healing.

This is also the most detailed
amigurumi crated so far, with the most detailed outfit with facial
hair and my own attempt at "hair" which isn't really much of an
attempt. And oh... an amethyst Swarovski encrusted blue lightsabre.
I am grateful to Sammi at Geek
Central Station for sharing her "Human Amigurumi" pattern.
Now if we want to talk about details you really must visit her
site, it's filled with her many inspirational and highly detailed
amigurumi figures from her latest Ghostbuster to Gandalf. And
you'll see how I am an influenced follower.
With me again, the Force is
This is version number 2 made and you can see there is some progress in my crocheting skills. I've also made just adjustments to his costume and included a hood and a sash.

Due to the unavailability of my sewing
machine, I actually sewed Yoda's robe by hand. So it took longer
than usual to create this look. It is worth is because, most
adorable cute, he is.
Owner of Yoda number 1
found out today that I made *gasp* another Yoda thus
rendering his no longer exclusive and needless to say,
disappointed. But really relieved that it was not for anyone he
knew, so I made a deal with him that I would not make another Yoda
for anyone in the industry and that made him happier plus the fact
that I will make him Mace
Windu sometime in the future.
I found a Jedi Name Generator - amusing it is. Hmmmmmm.
Tammy's Reversible Shoulder Bag

Then I screwed it up. First I squared
off the wrong corners so I had to cut off the straps... then after
completing it, I noticed a dirty smudge on the cream fabric so I
thought I'd try to rinse that out. So that got the bag wet and
realised OHNO! The colour from the dark wine-coloured fabric was
coming off and staining the cream fabric!! !@#$%^&*!

Of course I felt terrible so I made her another one with my own stash and to the colour combination she had originally wanted but could not find. She was really happy when she saw the picture message I sent, so we'll see if she is still happy tomorrow when she gets it. Dad actually liked it very much too and Mum said she would like one in black and white - saying it would be perfect for traveling.
